Meet Captain Marmalade!

Jasper was kind enough to bring in his new pet rat called 'Captain Marmalade'. He was very fast racing around his cage. His favourite treat to eat is frozen peas!

Family Picnic Tea

We recently had a family picnic tea at school. It was lots of fun. We had 3 legged races, egg and spoon races and wheelbarrow races!

Here is Tom and his friend getting ready for the 3 legged race. Tom's dad is securing the knot.
Even the adults had a turn at the 3 legged race!
Ella was so fast in the egg and spoon race that this photo is just a blur!
To finish off the evening we had a tug of war. Pull girls, pull!
Blake has just spotted more fun to be had!

Staying Alive, March 2008

Last Friday we went to the Staying Alive Expo at Richmond A & P Show Grounds. We travelled out there on buses which was really exciting. We were lucky enough to have the best driver...Darwynes dad!
Staying Alive is a public education event with a focus on health and safety. A number of emergency services have joined together to help teach us how to keep safe and what to do if there is an emergency.
There were lots of different activities for us to see and participate in. Have a look at some of the photo's we took in the slide show below.

Ella's Sunnies

At the moment all new entrant children are being given a voucher to collect a pair of free sunglasses from Visique Optometrists. Wearing a pair of quality sunglasses can protect your eyes from harmful UV radiation.
Here is a picture of Ella with her new glasses!

Buddy Time!

Every Friday afternoon we get together with our buddies from Room 3. We have been interviewing them to find out why Nelson Central School is important to them. They love coming to school because they learn, make great friends and have the 'best buddies in Renwick 3!'

Meet Spike!

Blake has a new puppy from the S.P.C.A. called Spike. He came to school for a quick visit last week. I hope he is still behaving himself!
